A classic example of disinformation on the internet is a doctored image that seems real. However with advancements in AI and in video editing capabilities, doctored videos have been more and more prevalent in spreading misinformation and general panic. One of the dirsy viral examples of this was the video of a hawk swooping down and stealing a baby. This caused a sort of hysteria, with everyone believing that birds could suddenly snatch their kids. This example is important not only for its direct impact, but also how it seemed to be one of the first of the countless fake videos meant to scare people, which could have very dangerous real world implications.
